Description
A long and flat route between Welshpool and Shrewsbury that makes use of the Severn Way.
The route follows the way we walked. At the Shrewsbury end this included the decision to walk on the pavement along the B4380 for about 4km. This was good for our energy and timings. A route option that follows the Severn Way through Bicton would be a good addition. That said, this route 100% works and is a good option for people who want a flatter option for walking between these two towns.

10 Aug 2023This is the LONG way to go! It's flat and easy to follow, which was good for my feet... if my energy levels had been higher I think a more direct route might have been more varied and interesting... but this was a good way for me.
I enjoyed following the river.
There were LOTS of cows.
If you want to avoid the hills, go this way!.

Pub and camping 1/2 way, otherwise nowhere to get a snack or supplies.
