Description
This is quite possibly the best way to get between Totnes and Paignton. The is mostly on delightful old lanes, much of which are not metalled or used by cars.
The route is almost identical to Totpai One, but makes use of a safer and wider lane for a short stretch. It also avoids some steps. Otherwise the reviews on that route are relevant to this one too.
Everyone in Totnes and Paignton should give this walk a go!

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

19 Dec 2022This was a lovely route to walk, a clear favourite for me so far. I got the train to Totnes, grabbed a coffee and got going.
The route starts by taking you over the river and quickly takes you up hill through a residential area. I recommend looking over your shoulder when to you reach the top of the hill as the views are far reaching and fantastic.
Much of the way is off road, through Woodlands and along paths, there is a short part when you are walking alongside the road through a village so worth being cautious but it seemed a quiet road with good visibility ahead so not too concerning.
The route finishes up weaving through a nature reserve before hitting the beautiful ocean views.
It is hilly at times and one of the paths had fairly large rocks which made it a bit tricky to navigate, however the X factor was the beach at the end which made it a 5* route for me. I would highly recommend this walk.

16 Dec 2022This is an excellent Slow Way! I really enjoyed the old lanes and holloways. I'd 100% walk it again and plan to do so in the summer.
Do take a look at the reviews for Totpai One which is almost identical to this route. I added this new route option to make it slightly more direct, safe (avoiding a busier narrow lane) and to remove some steps.
