Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

24 Apr 2024Tadley to Bramley 1 (Tadbra 1) review.
A pleasant walk from Tadley, across Pamber Forest, and then lanes and woodland into Bramley.
Tadley has plenty of amenities. The Slow Way leaves the main road to cut across woodland (Photo 1). It then makes good use of footpaths to minimise pavement walking, to arrive at the west side of the extensive Pamber Forest.
The route through the forest is for the most part along a wide well-maintained path (Photo 2). The Slow Way leaves this just before the east edge of the forest for a footpath. This was churned up and muddy on my walk (Photo 3). I know from previous visits that Pamber Forest is a great place to explore, although perhaps best for drier days.
Look to the right at the Silchester Road to find the footpath on the opposite side (Photo 4). The route passes through woodland, there were plenty of bluebells out in April; and along quiet lanes (Photos 5 & 6).
It is a short pavement walk into Bramley. The Slow Way passes by The Bramley Inn to end at Bramley train station.
