Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

03 Dec 2022A routecthat bypasses the smog of Streatham High Road and utilises little known paths. Nice walk.

17 Nov 2022Short, enjoyable walk that includes some green spaces. Copley Park becomes quite steep going up to Streatham Common.

09 May 2021As with STRWES and STRCRY this starts with a set o f steps opposite Streatham Station. For this route this can be avoided by taking Hopton and Polworth Roads (this also avoids taking a quite enclosed alleyway which some might find off-putting).
After crossing the common - with views over south west London - the route takes a quiet back streets until crossing the river Graveney (though you might not notice it) before arriving.
a slightly longer but more interesting route for the second part of the route would be to take Hill Path off Valley road - just down from where you emerged on Russel's Footpath - coming out opposite Streatham Common. You then have a longer walk across both Streatham Common and through Norwood grove arriving on Covington Way. take this until Norbury Hill and then follow NORCRY through Norbury Park.
