Description
This route broadly follows Stoeye One from Stowmarket Station towards Eye Town Centre, however takes a few different detours. First at Saxham Street around 5.7km, it follows the road around to the left then right, instead of circumnavigating Palgrave Farm and following footpaths that are not waymarked. Then just after 10k, in Mendlesham, the route now goes a little further into the town centre passing the convenience store and the Kings Head Pub. After Wetheringsett, on Dale Hill, the turn left onto the footpath is more accurately positioned and then follows the more natural route around the fields out to Thwaite Road before heading right onto The Street towards the Black Horse Pub. And lastly, at the Farmyard near Braiseworth, rather than a convoluted and not obvious or waymarked footpath route, it follows the road lane out towards Braiseworth Road taking you up to Yaxley Road into Eye. Overall its 23.7km roughly 65% on road without pavement, 15% on path/pavement and 20% on trail. There are 2 stiles, a few narrow bridges and some gates that need opening into farmer's fields and onto paths

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
