07 Jun 2023 (edited 08 Jun 2023)Walked from Stourbridge to Brierley Hill. Once industrial Stourbridge is out of the way, the rest is excellent, initially on a surfaced path through a surprisingly green corridor and then by the canal then on pavements with safe crossings.
From Stourbridge Interchange we go into the subway and turn right to join St Johns Road. Take care crossing Brmingham Street (no lights). A path leads us into an industrial estate, where we cross the canal and continue between the buildings into a green space, where we go left to find the path/cycle track which we follow all the way to the canal, crossing the railway, some pleasant parkland and a few quiet roads.
We follow the canal past a flight of locks (the basin above the lowest one was overflowing a little down the towpath) and over a side branch then go up the steps onto Mill Street, which can be crossed on a zebra crossing. We follow Mill Street left then branch right onto High Street and the Brierley Hill meeting point.

17 Dec 2022Easy to follow, mostly off road route. A long stretch is a shared footpath/cycle way but the pathway is wide and very clearly and safely demarcated. Crossing the road as it feeds into the Stourbridge Ring Road needs some care but otherwise a very safe, pleasant route.

11 Dec 2022Very direct and safe paved route. Follows the route of a marked cycle path although this is actually split use, half bikes and half pedestrian. I wore boots when I walked this but ordinary shoes will do. Only tricky crossing was in the final section coming into Stourbridge crossing the ring road, which doesn't have many crossings. There were some steps to come down the hill into Stourbridge so not accessible for all. Remarkably offroad for most of its distance.
