Description
From Church Street, head south past the church and the roundabout to join Central Parade.
Continue down the hill until turning a slight left onto Windsor Gardens (where Central Parade turns to the right).
Follow Windsor Gardens to the end and join the footpath, turning right towards Shildon Station.
At Shildon Station, cross over the tracks on the footbridge, then continue turn right to follow the station access road to Sprout Lane.
Crossing Sprout Lane by the bridge can be difficult, I recommend walking up to the crossing at the roundabout and coming back down.
Now join the "Locomotion Way" bridlepath and follow this all the way to Newton Aycliffe Station.
Turn right out of the station to follow Greenfield way and cross via the underpass, or at the roundabout, to join Pease Way.
Follow Pease Way to it's end and turn right onto Stephenson Way.
Newton Aycliffe town centre will be directly ahead, cross to it via one of the pedestrian crossings.

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.
