Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

19 Jan 2023An interesting way cross-country, with ancient tracks and woodland adding variety, inspiration and shelter in this intensively farmed landscape. The A1307 crossing towards Copley Hill can be tricky so I've rated this 4 stars, but it's worth it! The section north of the Roman Road near Valley Farm has fields of crops sown right up to the footpath; in summer this makes the field-edge paths very narrow.

07 Oct 2021 (edited 30 Oct 2022)Attractive route on rural footpaths through agricultural landscapes. The paths are well maintained, easy to walk, and safe. The route gpx is accurate. Recommended.

19 May 2021Apart from crossing the two roads, this is a very nice walk. Much of it is along footpaths beside fields, but parts are through woods or wooded paths. There are many pleasant, open landscapes.

28 Apr 2021Very pleasant walk through arable land on fairly well-maintained paths. There are some fast roads to cross.
