Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

08 Sep 2021Not possible to complete without wet feet as the footbridge has been washed away in the last decade. A detour to cross the beck at the Tocketts Mill park bridge is possible by following the stream side path or following the path alongside Raisbeck wood higher up. Folk need to use the bridleway alongside Grewgrass lane to keep safe.

24 Apr 2021The footbridge at Tocketts house is destroyed and the area overgrown making the route near impassable. Diversion via tocketts mill is required, see Redgui two.

08 Sep 2021The original official footpath route has become impassable, however, visitors have started to create an alternative path over some of the old stone channeling found by taking a sharp right once the stile has been crossed into Tocketts wood. The path up towards Tocketts house is better.
