Help connect Redcar

Many Slow Ways have several route options. Some will be better than others, or good for different reasons.

Our goal is for each Slow Way to have at least one route that is verified and surveyed. To be verified – and get its snail badge – a route needs at least three positive reviews.

Give a hike and help get a for every one of Redcar’s Slow Ways.

All in all a nice walk to get away from everyone - don't expect to see anyone else on the trail. Mostly grassed path, some paved \ gravelled and a number of anti bike chicanes, steps and a metal bridge to cross. Recommend a few site seeing detours - at the beginning head to the Tees Transporter Bridge, then to the Clock Tower. A detour to the Tees river viewpoint over the rail bridge of Art is not far....

If you're in a wheelchair, pushing a buggy, or just don't want a muddy walk the rest of this walk can be done easily and safely by walking along the pavement alongside the Coast Road, or you can walk over the grassy dunes as we did on clear paths until Marske is reached....
