23 Aug 2024Lovely section of coast path that is clearly signed throughout. Extremely high tide meant section at Glastraeth was innundated in places. Good facilities in both Portmadog and Harlech. Good public transport by bus and train from both.

31 May 2023This is a good, clear route, following the Wales Coast Path so well signposted. The route does involve some stiles and a lot of unmade dirt paths. Some parts follow the road, but generally on pavements so are safe. Depending on whether you follow the cycle path or the footpath beside the railway across the Cob, there may be an awkward road crossing at the end (following the cycle path avoids this).
The final stretch into Harlech is a bit flat and boring - but probably unavoidable without ending up on the main roads.
