Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

02 Sep 2022Follows a lot of main roads but will also take you past some of the main central London sites. Very easy to follow.

19 Feb 2022This route takes you through Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, Picadilly Circus, Regent Street, and Oxford Circus. It’s a London tourist’s dream route! Entirely on pavements, relatively direct, accessible, and interesting, a lovely route if I ever saw one! (Certainly it is not as quiet or pollution-free as it could be, but for a London Slow Ways route, this one's pretty fun.).

03 May 2021A safe route using safe crossings, but using more busy routes than necessary, and with higher air pollution. An alternative route (if walking from Charing Cross) is to cross to Traflagar Square at the end of Duncannon, take the raised walkway in front of the National Gallery, turn right up Whitcomb Street until rejoining the main route. Then again at Piccadilly Circus, instead of walking up Regent Street, an alternative is to take Glasshouse, Air, Golden Square, and Kingly rejoining Regent Street at Great Marlborough Street.
