22 Oct 2023A route with great views over Wharfedale, Almscliff Cragg and the Arthington Viaduct.
Starting and finishing along residential roads, with a good swathe of footpaths linking with a section of disused railway. The path was muddy and puddled in places after the recent storms but easily passable. Fields are well used for livestock and horses, so be aware if walking with a dog.
The stretch down Pool Bank is unfortunately on the road without a footpath option, but is not too long and vehicles have good visibility. Make sure to walk on the side of oncoming traffic.
I managed to combine with a stunning Wharfedale sunset, a hard recommend if possible!.
