08 Jul 2024I walked this route from North Hykeham (or rather from Hykeham railway station). It starts outside the Fox and Hounds on the Newark Road. At first it works its way through residential estates on the pavements of quiet streets. It passes through the village centre of North Hykeham where there are pubs and shops. It continues to head south along school Lane and Water Lane to reach the banks of the North Hykeham Pump Drain. It then follow this water filled ditch on short grass to the river bank of the Witham. It then follows the Witham on grass and some surfaced paths all the way to Lincoln. In Bracebridge there is a Plough public house for refreshment. The whole route is easy to follow and firm underfoot. Most is a foot path rather than cycleway. Nearer to Lincoln it is a cycle route.

13 Jul 2024As far as I can tell all three NorLin routes are identical. If you copy this review to NorLin one we will get that one verified.

14 Jul 2024I agree it's nearly the same but the plotting of norlin1 is very poor. If they are going to merge, 3 should survive in my view.
