Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

Not a very well connected walk. There were around 5 sections where the footpath was either overgrown, just disappeared into nothing or access just wasn`t there. There are some nice sections along the way (see below), but just too many blockages to be a viable Slow Way. I will propose an alternative, but it will probably involve a lot of lane walking, as I`m not seeing an easy way around some of the troublesome sections. I don`t think I`ve ever felt as battered, bruised, scratched and bloody as I did after this walk !
The good parts....
The green lane leaving Abersychan down to Gypsy Lane
Graig Ddu beech woods
Blaencuffin Canyon
Gefn Crib common and the lane down into Hafodyrynys
