Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

13 Apr 2022 (edited 19 Aug 2022)I really enjoyed this urban walk and would certainly walk it again.
That said, there are long sections of path that have fences on both sides and no lighting. Some walkers may not feel comfortable in these spaces.
I think someone local could design a route through a chain of parklands to the west of this route that could make good use of Cross Flatts Park and entering Middleton Park from the north west.
This would could be improve too but being more direct at the Leeds end and by going through Middleton Park and exiting opposite St Philip's avenue.
There are some places where you will need to walk over and close to the M621. I enjoyed these gritty sections, but they are are not for everyone.
Middleton park is really gorgeous.

01 Sep 2024I have now walked, submitted and reviewed a route via Cross Flatts Park, which means I couldn't give a second review to this one.
