Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

23 Sep 2022I walked this route from Baldwin's Gate to Madeley and was really quite pleased. It's a perfect route, I have no qualms about recommending it at all.
Just out of Baldwin's Gate, you follow along the WCML through field after field, joining up with a farm track for bits.
For the final approach to Madeley, it's a quiet lane and then finally the main road into town.
There are several gates to go through along the track, but all of them were easily opened (no climbing over locked gates here!).
Madeley was surprisingly lovely - the town pond was a perfect spot to rest and have lunch.
The route was easy, safe, flat, direct, and off road. A no-brainer great route. Full marks!.
