Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

15 Jun 2022I walked this route as the first leg of Billingshurst --> Loxwood --> Petworth on a sunny day in June.
There is a good pedestrian bridge across the busy A29. From there past Tedfold to Rowner Farm, the paths are bit indistinct and not terribly well waymarked. Once you get to the Canal, follow the Wey South Path signs all the way to Loxwood. These signs are very well placed and easy to follow.
There is one very short section along the Newpound Road (B2133) where the pavement gives way to a narrow verge just before you cross the road to pick up the footpath again. This needs a bit of care watching out for traffic.
The tow path sections are well kept and popular walking. No refreshments along the way. Some obstacles (gates, stiles, footbridges etc.).
