Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

13 Jun 2022Tyrrels Wood to Pulham (around 4km)
Turn left out of Tyrrels Wood Car Park and walk along the road until turning right at the next junction on to Hardwick Road. After walking someway along the road look out for the Boudicca Way sign taking you across a field. The route then follows some really nice countryside footpaths into Pulham Market. The footpaths are easy to walk on but narrow, particularly a small bridge crossing a stream which is single file. Pulham Market is a lovely village to take a break at, with a couple of pubs and small shop. Overall this section of the route is very nice, particularly the last of road section into Pulham.

15 May 2022Long Stratton to Tyrrel's Wood (around 4km)
Starting at Star Lane in Long Stratton, with nearby free parking, shops, pubs and public toilet.
- At the end of Star Lane continue straight, onto a off road path, which takes through some trees and into the fields. Path hits Hall Lane but quickly goes off through a field again. This goes through beautiful Oil Seed Rape field, but is narrow and can be avoided going up Hall Lane and turning onto Parkers Lane.
- Continue on Parkers lane until its turns a corner right, at this point the route carries on straight with signs for Boudicca Way.
-Route then leads through a lovely countryside path between fields until reaching Tyrrel's Wood.
-Tyrrels Wood is a beautiful small mature wood, that can be navigated using various paths. Shortest is probably to follow Boudicca Ways signs but turn left after crossing the first small bridge, this should lead all the way through to the car park.
Overall this is a lovely section of the overall route, particularly Tyrrels Wood. The route can get very muddy in winter and is narrow in places, but would definitely recommend.
