Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

25 Nov 2022An easy to follow and a direct short route. It does however require walking alongside the busy A6108 for about 1k, where there is no pavement, and any grass verges are narrow. The road though is wide, and I felt safe, as visibility was good. The bridge crossing is ok because it narrows, and traffic can only move in one direction at a time. The field crossings at either end are on footpaths and are pleasant.

24 Aug 2021Easy route between two popular places. Well signed and easy to follow. Unfortunately a stretch on the road without walkways is necessary due to need to cross the River Ure at Middleham Bridge. The road is busy with no verges.
