Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

01 Feb 2023The first part of this route leaves Knighton and follows the Offa’s dyke path which is clearly sign posted and easy to follow, although steep at the beginning. Once over Hawthorn Hill you leave the Dyke and turn left through woodland and drop down into Norton. The path isn’t obvious when you’re in the vicinity of Old Impton Farm but you can’t go too wrong. Once through Norton the path again becomes less obvious in the fields past the sewage works and we exited onto the road through the wrong gate. A few hundred yards of road walking, which was fairly busy on a Sunday morning before the final stretch along the Withy Beds into Presteigne.
