28 May 2022This was a short and straightforward route. It’s paved the entire way, with a couple of stretches of narrower pavement along the side of the road. But today the sun was shining and it was pretty quiet with traffic so quite enjoyed this. Some views across fields at various points towards the hills. As a pretty direct way of getting from Freckleton to Kirkham it’s spot on.

05 Apr 2022This route is functional, safe, direct, and a bit boring. It has a pavement all the way, mostly just on one side, although in places it’s only about 50cm wide. There are some half-dropped kerbs, and some of the pavement is a bit bumpy. The road has quite a few cars using it, and also occasional buses, trucks and tractors. It is semi-rural, except at the ends, and it also features a prison with a farm shop. Both main road crossings have pedestrian lights.

20 Jun 2021This walk is entirely on footpaths. Apart from a few narrow sections, and traffic parking on pavements in Freckleton, it is wide enough to walk 2-a-breast. This route crosses a few major roads that are controlled by puffin crossings.

08 Dec 2021By "footpaths", I take it you mean pavements alongside roads, not footpaths across fields etc.
