Description
Follows the route of Kinyox two but rather than bypassing the Main Street with its shop and two pubs. This route goes through a quiet residential street then up Main Street. The whole route: From Kings Bromley the route heads along the A515 (wide even verge) then diverts left before Yoxall Bridge to cross the Trent and follows a lane then a series of footpaths to the edge of Yoxall. The route crosses a local park and descends through a residential street before joining Main Street up to the Yoxall meeting point

25 Feb 2023 (edited 26 Feb 2023)Walked from Kings Bromley to Yoxall. A fairly good direct route, with rather a lot of unavoidable walking on the verge of a main road.
The route out of King's Bromley along the A515 Yoxall Road is obvious. The pavement disappears at the end of the built up area. I chose to walk on the west side, which has old road layby sections and better views of the river, and had no problems walking on the verges. The east side looks just as walkable, so no real safety concerns. The little path down to the old bridge could easily be missed, but it was a welcome break from the main road.
Beyond we follow a quiet lane for a short distance. Watch out for the path - I missed it initially because the OS map misled me into walking up the farm road, and I got barked at then shouted at by the owner. To be fair, the path is clearly labelled with white posts all the way through the wood, though there are a couple of stiles. Bondfield Lane is easily reached and we go straight on most of the way to Main Road then right along a well used path that leads through a park to Yoxall, where we go straight on to the main road and follow it left to the rather poorly sited meeting point at the entrance to the church (no seats and no bus stops, but there are both a little further south).
There is a choice of pubs and a shop in both King's Bromley and Yoxall - no facilities in between but the walk is so short that that shouldn't matter.

25 Apr 2022The only route is alongside the road so loses one star for me. However it can't be avoided without a less direct route because of the need to cross the river Trent. South of the bridge the verge is mostly wide and mown. The walk over the old bridge and old road is pleasant. Good paths pass through Yoxall Bank access land and into the village joining The Way for the Millennium before crossing the recreation ground.

31 May 2021I started this route from Kings Bromley. The first section follows the Yoxall Road which is fast and can be quite busy but the verge is very wide and even. There are view of the River Trent to the northern side but signs remind you that the land on the other side is private. Where this route differs from Kinyox One is that rather than continuing to follow the main road it takes a footpath off to the left which takes you over the Trent and into a lane then via a series of footpaths, delivers you to the edge of Yoxall.
Here is where the route differs from Kinyox Two. You cross a local park and continue on through a quiet residential street on to Main Street in Yoxall where you can find a small supermarket and two pubs en route to the meeting spot.
