Surveys

We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.

Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

This is an alternative to Kinsou One, which is now impossible due to Footpath Closure beacause of HS2 working between Ladbroke and Southam. This route is mainly through rural Warwickshire and passes through the villages of Kineton, Harbury and Ufton

The route starts in the village of Kineton where there are bus services to the surrounding area. The walk leaves by the B4086 but soon leaves the road to follow footpaths past MOD Kineton ,then on to Gaydon where there is a village shop with refreshments.
The route continues past the British Motor Museum, which holds the world’s largest collection of British Cars. The route then crosses the M40 via a pedestrian bridge then continues a long the edge of Itchington Holt and onto Harbury
This is another pretty Warwickshire village with refreshments. The path leaves via Bull Ring Farm Road and crosses the Railway Line then follows tracks and footpaths eventually entering Ufton Fields Nature Reserve. Ufton Fields is a biological Site of Special Scientific Interest.
The path then leads into Ufton which has avery nice Pub with great views from the garden across Warwickshire.
From the village the paths follow farm land , along the edge of Ufton Wood, across the B4452 and the through the grounds of the Dallas Burston Polo Club.
The path then follows the River Itchen past the Holy Well and into the Town of Southam
Overall a very pleasant easy walk with few obstacles, although some styles will make it impossible for wheel chair users.
