Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

10 Apr 2024An enjoyable route along mainly quiet roads and a couple of spots which are nearly countryside!.

09 Feb 2024A good 4* star route, perhaps a little too urban for the full 5.
Didn’t much like the look of Kinmot One which is direct, but all along busy roads, so I sounded out this alternative -imo it’s a good combo of reasonably direct, pleasant residential areas, footpaths, and picks up an intermediate railway station at Berrylands….
…. where there are refreshments- I stopped for coffee and a toastie.
Points of interest: Can’t avoid the A3, it’s a safe roundabout crossing with the big beast underground.
3 river crossings - twice across the Hogsmill and once across Beverley Brook.
A whimsical connection: Fulham FC training ground by the Beverley Brook at Motspur Park - and the main ground is by the Thames just where the Brook comes out. If they kick the ball in the river will it float downstream so they can pick it up later?
Goes past Kingston art college, the public library and an art gallery.
Accessibility: No steps, may suit wheels, but I can’t vouch for kerbs and clear pavements.
Motspur Park currently having lifts installed, which will make the platforms accessible when open.
