Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

13 Nov 2022 (edited 12 Jun 2023)The views of Loch Lomond are a nice backdrop, but this is a route that should be taken with care. Often known as one of the more difficult stretches of the West Highland Way, this route has a lot of ups and downs, tree routes, stream/river crossings, and other obstacles that will make it challenging to get a good pace. But it's still probably the best path away from the road between Inverarnan to Rowardennan, so I'll give it 3 stars!
Please note due to the nature of this route it is not suitable for wheelchairs, prams, or bikes.
It's possible to also split this into 2 days' walk and find some camping or bothy stays along the way.
