Description
This route is intended to fix problems found on HigAme 1 by Ian: a perilous road crossing near Amersham and difficult-to-follow paths south of that. The remainder sticks to the intention of the original route.
From Amersham to Coleshill the route goes along The Chilterns Heritage Trail, which should mean that signs and maintenance get a little more attention than other local footpaths, and there is a footbridge over the troublesome A413. At Coleshill it joins The Chiltern Way to just outside Tylers Green, which should be very well tended to. From here on the proximity to housing, and thus dog walkers, probably ensure that off road paths stay usable.
Good selection of mid-route stops, stays and bus stops at Tylers Green, Winchmore Hill and Coleshill (but a 25 min walk from Coleshill’s pub to bus stop @Whielden Lane). About 70% is off road, those roads are in High Wycombe, Tylers Green and Coleshill, likely all with pavements or pavements disguised as grassy verges

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
