03 Sep 2021Follows lots of existing footpaths. Includes lots of styles and some rough tracks that probably aren't suitable for people with mobility issues. Also, suggests walking up a busy narrow road without pavement just before Winchelsea when there is a footpath route (part of the 1066 path) that avoids the road.
Near Pett, the route passes some bird hides, so great for bird watchers. Easy to go the wrong way at Fairlight Hall so watch out for the path signs.
This route takes you to the back of Fairlight and not along the coastal path. You might consider switching over to the coastal path when you meet with the military canal.
