Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

04 Nov 2023This is a lovely route but there are more direct and safer footpaths. Godoxt two is the more direct route. It is also safer as it uses the underpass to cross the A22 Godstone by pass which is a busy and dangerous road.

10 Jan 2022This is a nice walk with good scenery on much of the route and it is mostly on path or pavements. There is only one significant hill (from Broadham green towards Tandridge) but it can get very muddy in the Winter so I would recommend wellies if it has rained recently. The only drawback is where you have to cross the A22 as this road can be very busy at times. There is an minor adjustment I would suggest, instead of taking the path near the barley mow, if you take the path off Jackass Lane you can cross underneath the A22 by Hop Garden Cottage which is much easier. I will submit this as an alternative route.

30 Jun 2023Did you ever suggest the alternative route? I can't seem to find it.
