Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

23 Mar 2024A nice little route, meandering around the Downs with great views North and South and connecting Findon and Steyning, both of which are good for a wander around. No issues with the route, short stretches along a quiet road with no pavement.

21 Aug 2022This was the second slow way of three used for a running route. The steep climb back to the ridge was great, with trees providing shelter. Then following Monach’s way for a bit before running down into Findon where there are some great pubs.
I know the area very well, but a map would be needed to stay on the way. There are some variations toward the end of the route that take routes over fields, great for better under foot conditions and views.

24 Oct 2021A pleasant walk largely on bridleways and footpaths that, with a map, is easy to follow. There are views from the path over to Cissbury and Chanctonbury Rings The path surface can be rough at times and, going down into Steyning, steep.
