Description
This route has been added as an alternative to Faidro One, it uses clear or waymarked footpaths to eliminate the majority of on-street walking found in the original route.
This was a pleasant walk following a short section of canal towpath before traversing the pleasant Brookdale park. The route then follows a clear path through Medlock Vale. This section has some steep and potentially muddy sections

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

13 Jun 2023This is a pleasant route almost entirely off-road and through some nice green spaces. A large section of the route follows the Oldham Way and is well waymarked.
The section through Medlock Vale is slightly rougher walking. Potentially muddy and with some steeper sections. When walked in June 2023 there were some high brambles and nettles - only a problem if wearing shorts.
