Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

27 Jun 2021I ran this on a grey Sunday afternoon as part of a longer route involving 3 other Slow Ways (Peclew one, Dulpec one and Dulcat one). I ran from Peckham to Dulwich. This is a nice route that is all on tarmac paths. It takes you briefly onto Bellenden Road which has lots of nice cafes and shops, and where you can spot bollards designed by Anthony Gormley and lampposts by Zandra Rhodes. There is lots of other street art to spot directly on the route and in the area surrounding it. The route makes use of green space where available, passing through St Francis Park which has a small children's playground. The park is just beside a large Sainsbury's which has a cafe and toilet facilities. The route continues behind the Dulwich Hamlet ground and down along Green Dale (be careful when joining this path as it is a cycle path and bikes build up quite a bit of speed coming down the hill). Dulwich also has a good (if fancy) selection of cafes, shops and restaurants and the nearby art gallery and park would make a nice detour (there are public toilets in the park).

28 Apr 2021This is a good route. Follows back routes and cycle paths here and there mostly keeping away from main roads. And it's pretty much all really flat other than a few mild slopes but nothing you would call a hill.
i'd use this again in order to keep away from a busier route, its fairly direct and safe and the route is easy to follow. No real off-road however, but this is right in London of course.

25 Apr 2021A nice route on fairly quiet residential roads. A short section through Greendale Fields is a welcome bit of green space. Good options for stop off points for food/drink.
