Description
This is a direct route between Dartmouth and Brixham.
There are some cracking views, steep climbs and the easy option to divert for a swim at Man Sands.
It's similar to Darbri one at both ends, but make better use of quieter roads.
You'll need to plan ahead for the ferry between Dartmouth and Kingswear.
Much of the route is on small and quiet lanes

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

25 Jun 2023There are some short steep climbs on this walk, but the views make it worthwhile.
I love the ferry and steam trains at Kingswear.
I agree that another route that follows the coast path would be a great addition.

25 Jun 2023We enjoyed walking this route. It's easy to follow and the views across the Dart are brilliant. Stopping off at Man Sands was a treat.
There is lot of lane walking, so it will not be for everyone.. but we always felt safe enough and could easily step off the lanes where needed.
I'd 100% walk it again.
Someone might want to add an alternative that follows the South West Coast path. It wouldn't be direct at all... but it would be off-road and beautiful!.
