12 Apr 2026This is a very pleasant route. I went from Crook to Bishop and I had no trouble finding my way.
But there are some tricky points. There is a spot where you go into a field from the road and you just have to scramble through a broken wall. Another weird point is a fence between 2 fields where you just have to climb over. There is no barbed wire at that point in the fence, thank goodness! But if you are shorter than me you will have trouble and so will your dog. Finally there is a pathway absolutely overgrown with brambles. I got through and I have the spelks in my hands to prove it. That's near New Hunwick. You can easily take a road diversion if you don't like the look of it.
