I walked this route from Tipton yesterday. It's a great walk which at 1.51 miles is definitely one of the shorter Slow Ways you'll find, but there's plenty of interest. A few canal locks help to break up the towpath monotony, and there is the listed Boat Gauging House at Tipton Basin off Factory Road. The street walking along Bridge Street is minimal before taking you to footpaths alongside a retirement home and then Clayton park, and then to the station.

A safe, direct, off-road and enjoyable route that mostly follows the canal! I wallked this Slow Way with Mary - it was super pleasant and peaceful. Highly recommend.

From Tipton Station, with its metalwork arch, there was a path directly onto the towpath. The towpath was generally well surfaced, and the slopes onto and off the footbridges, and at the lock, were paved in brick, with small ridges to help if it’s icy. At one point there was a cycle barrier with a radar-key gate alongside it.
The railside footpath was also fairly well surfaced, and we arrived at Coseley Station in no time! A very good route.

At just 3 Km this is one of the shorter Slow Ways routes, but none the less enjoyable for that. We walked it from Tipton to Coseley, and it follows the BCN Main Line canal for almost all the route, other than the last section where the canal passes through a tunnel under Coseley and the footpath goes up the hill through residential housing to Coseley station.

A very safe, direct route! Following a series of footpaths and then joining the canal at a good spot, it's also offroad. Full marks!.
