This route is on lanes (all tarmac, no stiles). I started at the Colwinston Turn bus stop on the A48, which is the nearest public transport and a mile from the start point. The lanes are quiet and views are great: a very enjoyable walk. However, there’s no need to use the main road at the Cowbridge-end of the route. Instead, go via Llanblethian. There’s a footpath between Cowbridge and the church, or use Bridge Road/Church Road. Either of these is much quieter and prettier than the main road.
