Took X6 bus from Clevedon to Summerhouse bus stop and walked into Nailsea via Stonehenge Lane and Valley Way Road. Used toilets in Tesco at Nailsea.
Tried the footpath parallel to Nailsea Wall (coming from Nailsea) but came to a dead end. There is a lack of signage as the route must cross the River Kenn somewhere. I exited back to the road (which has a large verge) and it avoids the turn back after Kennmoor Road. I missed the path before Court Lane (motorway bridge) and got told off for walking through the industrial area! However, a pleasant and mainly level walk.

A shorter route from Nailsea would be to turn right up the Causeway. On the left, before you get to Tickenham Church, there is a footpath. Follow this, crossing two small bridges over the rhynes till you get to the River Yeo. Bear left without crossing the river. Keep following the river till you get to a road, left and then right to pick up the path again. This takes you to Clevedon, picking up the path already described, before you get to the M5.

Overall a lovely route through a fine part of the dependably rural North Somerset Levels, sandwiched between fairly enjoyable walks in/out of Clevedon and Nailsea along older villagey roads.

Bar a couple of minor issues (see below), the route is easy to navigate. Footpaths in the area are regularly walked and usually well signed. Access is a varied mixture of kissing gates, field gates and the odd stile. This is the watery Levels though and the path can be wet and poached in the area east of the end of Breach Lane west of Nailsea after a rainy period, particularly if there are livestock. Otherwise I have found this route to be OK underfoot in my (admittedly only occasional and never midwinter) experience.

The first minor issue is a small route mapping error at the M5 crossing east of Clevedon. The line of the path suggested as the Slow Way no longer exists east of Court Lane and you need to cross the motorway using the road (which has a footway/verge) and the path through the pony pasture immediately next to the motorway. It's pretty obvious on the map and well-signed.

The second is a currently impassable section at the eastern end of the path through the fields immediately south of the road along Nailsea Wall. I had to walk along the road instead (clear view, reasonably light traffic so OK to walk) last time I came through here and again today but this time I could see fresh new footpath signs and access gates going up in a couple of the fields so hopefully this will be sorted very soon!

Connections to Hinckley C are being laid
across Nailsea Moor at the moment, which makes this end of the walk a tad less tranquil than usual but doesn't affect the walking and is temporary.

And finally, just to mention that this walk can be made part of a circular loop which includes Tickenham Moor to the North which can be done from either town.
