18 Jun 2023This is a great Slow Way with some beautiful views.
Some people will not like all the lanes (there's a lot of lane walking), but I enjoy walking them... and we felt safe enough walking them. Only a couple of cars came past.
Thank you Helen!

26 Mar 2022South Somerset is under the radar as far as walking goes. Why go out of your way to come here when you could go to the Jurassic Coast, the Quantocks, Mendips, Exmoor or Dartmoor? If you follow this spectacular walk you'll find far reaching views to rival any in those more well known places. I loved this walk!
It uses a combination of footpaths, bridleways, and quiet lanes. You can see for miles and miles over Somerset and Dorset on a clear day. My phone camera, doesn't do the views justice. The paths are well signposted. There is a section with "Beware of the Bull" signs written in blood red, which is a little off putting, but there was no sign of the bull when I went. If the bull rams and crushes you in the field, is the farmer excused liability because he wrote "beware!" on a bit of wood?
Anyway, a brilliant walk, and I would do it again.
