While this route is entirely on road, they are all quiet, country roads that are safe to walk and cycle along. The road through Libberton from Carnwath to Biggar is more direct but it is a fast, busy road and not safe to walk along. This route isn't the most exciting scenery-wise but it is largely flat and accessible to walk, wheel and cycle. Both ends of this route also benefit from a coffee shop
