11 Nov 2023Easy walk along the tow path. Wheelchair friendly. There are swans with signets in season, usually two families join together with up to ten signets. There's a kingfisher between the Hermitage Bridge and Kiln Bridge. In October 2023 we saw it four times in one week. This route can get busy, used by cyclists as well as walkers.

27 Mar 2023Walked Woking to Brookwood. This is a generally very good route following the Basingstoke canal towpath - but it is not drawn quite accurately enough, and at about the half way point where the towpath crosses sides, the route sent me down the wrong side of the canal, and I had to back track.
I've made a new route version Browok Two which corrects this problem, and I recommend walking that one.
