Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

23 Mar 2023No navigational challenges - although there are a few stiles in need of a bit of TLC - and very little road walking. I would suggest, however, that this is a walk for drier weather - the section between the Holcot Road and Scaldwell is especially muddy, and the stream crossing on the far side of the village is rather boggy; a stream appeared in the middle of the field immediately before Old Poor's Gorse (illustrated), and the path through the wood was waterlogged. To compensate, the views over Pitsford Water at the beginning of the walk are stunning, as is the section between Mawsley and Kettering. The major downside is the trek alongside the A14 and back in order to reach Kettering.
