The route does keep you away from the main road for the most part and does nicely to take you through a green space, but navigation isn't straightforward, and you'll likely have to look at your map constantly to follow this route. It's functional, but it might be more trouble to follow this correctly than just taking the quick way - along the main road!.

This route is absolutely fine and is good at taking quieter streets away from the main roads, it does the trick of connecting the two places in a safe way. Would not necessarily do it for fun as I would prefer to find more green space but it does pass through one park and would happily walk this again if I needed to get from one to the other.

This route started from Brixton by passing a lively collection of shops selling brightly coloured clothes, wigs and all sorts, some using shipping containers as premises. Then we passed some Bauhaus styled housing apparently built in the 1980s.
The route successfully avoided the main road by using lots of quiet side streets, but this meant more time spent on navigating. Also, I think the route would be less than ideal for wheeling because of lots of pavements that are wonky or else blocked by parked cars.
I spotted some places named after the American jazz drummer Max Roach, who apparently visited the area. A play area, then a few more quiet streets brought us out to Oval underground station and the end of the route.

Walked from Brixton to Kennington (with Mary, Ingrina and Dan B). An interesting route that needed a bit of concentration to navigate, as it is full of twists and turns. When we walked it there was a strong police presence, but what prompted it was not obvious.

Before leaving Brixton, we took a quick detour across the road to look at the David Bowie mural. The route goes right down Atlantic Road between the railway viaducts, then heads left onto Pope's Road. From here our route follows a maze of residential streets, generally heading north but with plenty of little detours. Although the route is entirely paved, it is not short of minor obstacles that might cause issues for wheelchairs, such as cracked pavements and cars blocking pavements. The surfaced cycle track across Eythorne Park does not take the straight line the GPX indicates - it heads furthe east and then half left at the far side. Eventually we reach Cranmer Road, where we turn left and cross Brixton Road, following another twisty back street to reach the Oval tube station and the Kennington meeting point. It is easier to cross Clapham Road opposite the tube station than at the exit of Prima Road.

I walked this route from Brixton to Kennington (after trying out the more direct alternative earlier). I liked this route for a lot of reasons: I thought the stretch around Brixton was quite interesting, the residential streets were quieter than the main road (though in places very quiet, which some might find uncomfortable), and there’s even a little park to walk through. Both routes are fine, but I might prefer this to the more direct version if I had a little extra time!.

Based on the limited options for slow ways in the area, this route offers a fairly direct route whilst limiting exposure to traffic.

This is a more pleasant walk between the end points than Briken 2, although it is somewhat longer., It passes mainly along quiet residential streets including modern developments and social housing estates. There is a convenient pedestrian crossing close to the point at which you have to cross the busy Brixton Road. It would no doubt be possible to find other similar 'back street' routes which might be more pleasant, but it is probably not worth the effort.

A nice route using backstreets and a small park. Considering there is little green around the area the route feels quiet whilst still being fairly direct.

Rather than sticking to a traffic-laden main road this route takes you through the backstreets and byways of this little stretch of Lambeth, complete with a nice green space with a small hill. This walk takes you through several housing estates - some old and some new - and on the way there are a number of shops and offices reflecting the multi-cultural population. This is a better option than Briken two.
