Description

*CAUTION*

This route has not been tested on the ground, but is an attempt at an improvement for some of the issues around Brihor 1. It is advised that this route is used to build off of and improve on.

Please read the following before attempting to walk.

1. The cliff walk betweeen Wilsthorpe and Fraisthorpe looks like it has been lost to erosion (in addition to the areas I've moved inland further south) - but there is no knowing without local knowledge whether this is true. This makes the only route the beach along this stretch and requires knowledge of tide times and marks. There are not easy inland routes for this section it seems.

2. Ulrome Grange looks like it has has been subject to significant building/construction work. I can't find the footpath north from there on street view.

3. Mill Lane at Skipsea, Hornsea Road are really horrible country roads with limited verge to walk upon

Surveys

We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.

Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

  1. Complete the survey training.
  2. Submit a survey for this route.
