14 Aug 2023Good route between Dulwich and Brixton. It's direct, leafy, and takes in some good sights and shops along the way. I like the choice to take the green space path near Brixton, which is far enough away from the main roads to offer some quiet away from motor noises.

08 Aug 2023 (edited 09 Aug 2023)Walked from Dulwich to Brixton (with Mary and Ingrina). A good safe easy route, slightly longer but greener than Bridul 1.
From Dulwich Village, we walk west along Turney Road, then right onto Burbage Road and left at Half Moon Lane to reach the junction outside Herne Hill station, We cross under the railway and use the crossing over Norwood Road to enter Brockley Park, where we take the right hand path past the lido. At the far end of the park we turn left along Brixton Water Lane, continuing over Tulse Hill then heading right into what is left of Rush Common, which is quieter than the map suggests. We then go past St Matthews Church with its rather impressive temple-like entrance. From here our destination at Brixton underground station is a short walk along the main road.

08 Aug 2023We started from Dulwich, progressing along pleasant streets with some interesting buildings in places. Brockwell Park made a nice change from suburban streets, and included an art deco lido.
Soon we were at the section that differs from BriDul1, by following a quieter road then branching off through a strip of parkland, which, although narrow, makes you forget the nearby road and traffic. After crossing the side road, we walked alongside St Matthew's Church with its Greek style of architecture. We soon arrived at the busy Brixton Station.
