11 Aug 2022I haven't actually walked this but I investigated the motorway roundabout on Google streetview. There is no traffic control on and off the M65 roundabout for several of the essential crossings, in both directions round the roundabout. Also I suspect footpath from the roundabout will therefore be little used may be overgrown or blocked.

25 Feb 2024I would agree with Mary - whilst there are some traffic controls, this is an exceptionally busy roundabout, including motorway access and people do not drive cautiously. I am familiar with the roundabout and on foot, I would approach it with some trepidation ! Blaris Two, using the canal towpath is much safer and a pleasant walk.
