Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

29 May 2023Blackwater to Camberley 1 (Blacam 1) review.
A serviceable route between the train stations at Blackwater and Camberley.
Note: I walked Camberley to Blackwater.
The walk from Camberley Station is straightforward, mainly alongside the A30 (Photo 1).
Navigating the A331 intersection, I took the north side via Tesco and a couple of sets of lights. The Station Approach path has a wooden bridge over the Blackwater River (Photo 2). This is very near the ‘three counties junction’ of Surrey, Hampshire, and Berkshire.

04 Oct 2022An easy to follow, straight and rather unappealing route between two conjoining towns right next to a busy London road. It could easily be followed on a wheelchair.

27 Feb 2022Simple straight line route between Blackwater and Camberley train stations using the A30 footpath for most of the walk.
The complicated “Meadows” roundabout junction at Blackwater involves a quite a few signal controlled crossings but once on the A30 it’s an easy route to follow into Camberley.
Once closer to Camberley there are some other options to get away from the noisy A30 but these involve a greater level of navigation and will add slightly to the length of the route.
As the shortest walking route between two transport nodes it’s fine but involves busy roads and quite a few junctions. The bus may be a better option!.
