Report

Colne is an interesting town with lots of history to explore on the way down the hill and past the station. A quiet industrial road leads to footpaths and a traffic-light-controlled road crossing and into Greenfield Road Nature Reserve, where the wild garlic was getting ready to flower. The route goes under the motorway then over the Leeds and Liverpool Canal then along the pavement of Colne Road. At the turn off this road, I’d like to have visited the Pendle Heritage Centre, but didn’t have time.
I found this to be a pleasant, varied and direct route.
