    1. For this survey of Newsta, I walked from Stafford to Newport. When the route was first mapped the road ended just beyond this roundabout. There is now a new housing development and the road has been extended onto the estate. km from start — 13 May 2021

    2. The route turns off to the right before the new housing estate. If you stay on the pavement, you will need to cross a grassy area to get onto the route from the housing estate. km from start — 13 May 2021

    3. As you leave the road behind, before reaching the new houses, there is a sign saying “Private Road” “No Cycling”. We have permission to walk here but bicycles should be wheeled. In practice, everyone seems to stay mounted. km from start — 13 May 2021

    7. For those who stayed on the private farm road, this is the access point for the Greenway. I’m not sure what these barriers were created for, but that are now regularly bypassed by the majority of wheeled users. km from start — 13 May 2021
