9. Good tarmac and slightly wider roads around the windfarms. This bridge is wide and can be crossed at the same time as traffic. From this section onwards is an increase in bicycle traffic 10 km from start — 13 May 2021

10. Cross roads where you go straight ahead to Strathaven. From this point onwards, single track road is much busier with traffic. A short detour of 300m to right is a cafe (Heron) which is only option near route for something to drink or eat. 11 km from start — 13 May 2021
