Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

21 Aug 2024I walked this on the 26 July 2024. As with the other walks along the Kennet & Avon Canal, this is an easy and direct walk.
However, at the moment, the towpath is closed near Burbage, and there is a diversion in place along alternative footpaths and quiet lanes. It also involves crossing the A346 - which is not too bad at the moment due to the traffic lights. Despite the fact that the gates blocking access to the canal have been moved, so it looks as if you could walk along the canal, it really is completely closed at Burbage Wharf - so *do* follow the diversion!
The current indication is that this will be closed until January 2025 (https://one.network/?tmi=GB32344699)
Despite this, it's still a good walk!.

07 May 2024A beautiful and lush route. Looking for an easy 11km walk? Do this!
The Royal Oak in Wootton Rivers and Three Tuns in Bedwyn are both great places for refreshments! Bedwyn has a Londis too.
It should definitely be verified.
